Give 1%
Consider what one percent of your wealth could mean for a local nonprofit.
A community-wide celebration of generosity supporting organizations serving the Greater Coatesville community.
What more could you do with work, life, or play? We can’t give people more hours in their day. But we can connect our community with organizations working to remove barriers and support a more dignified, equitable life.
In celebration of the Alliance for Health Equity’s 25th anniversary, Extra Hour Give invites you to give a little extra to organizations directly or indirectly serving Coatesville.
Consider what one percent of your wealth could mean for a local nonprofit.
Volunteer one extra hour a month with an organization doing work you believe in.
Include another nonprofit in your charitable giving.
Nonprofits and the people they serve face growing challenges as public resources are reduced. Imagine if every organization had one more funded hour per staff member—together, that support could help organizations grow their capacity to serve resource-depleted communities.
Extra Hour Give brings community members, donors, stakeholders, volunteers, supporters, and 50+ organizations together for an energetic celebration of giving.
The schedule below is a mock timeline. Kick-off and final celebration venues will be announced.
A gathering at a local Coatesville bar to jump-start the giving. A stretch-pool challenge could reward the first organization to reach 50 individual donors.
Organizations raising more than $1,000 during this hour are entered to win an additional $1,000.
The 10 organizations with the most raised receive a $1,000 bonus.
The organization with the greatest increase in donations unlocks $2,500.
The organization with the most individual donations during the hour unlocks $5,000.
A randomly announced giving push. The organization with the most individual donations during that window unlocks $2,500.
The organization with the most donations of $25 or less receives a $3,000 bonus.
An organization with at least 25 gifts for the most consecutive hours unlocks $2,500.
Join the community at a local venue to celebrate what we accomplished together.
During the final hour, leaderboard-climbing organizations compete for gifts of $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000.
Local businesses and nonprofits have a role to play in advancing health equity. Sponsorship connects your organization with the heart of this community giving movement.
A $5,000 event sponsorship is also listed for the Final Celebration. Contact the organizers for details on this and other ways to participate.
